Maternal Fetal Medicine Faculty
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at State University of New York – Upstate Medical University is recruiting for two fulltime board certified or board eligible Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist to join the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine. The Division consists of three other MFM specialists, one of whom is Board Certified in Critical Care, three Genetic Counselors, two Certified Nurse Midwives, three Nurse Practitioners, and four Ultrasound Technologists.  Our Ultrasound service is AIUM Certified. 

Our new faculty recruit will practice advanced perinatal care including consultation and management of high risk pregnancies and fetal anomalies, fetal imaging, invasive diagnostic and therapeutic in-utero procedures, outreach education and inpatient consultations. The MFM Division serves as a resource and referral area for 18 level I, II, and III hospitals in a 14 county region of Central and Upstate New York.  The Regional Perinatal Center was developed as one of the first comprehensive units in the United States in a Medical Center that was founded in 1834.  The Division is actively involved in the education of 20 residents and the 165 Upstate Medical University medical students annually.

The Department is continuing to expand and in addition to the three MFM physicians, it includes ten Generalists, three Gyn-Oncologists, Reproductive Endocrinologist, Breast Health/Lactation specialist, four Certified Nurse Midwives, seven Nurse Practitioners, one Physician Assistant, and an Andrologist.  The REI Division is affiliated with Boston IVF.  The Department also includes PhD Epidemiologists, Bio-Statisticians, and Data Managers for research projects.  The SUNY Upstate Medical University is in the city of Syracuse, in central New York State. Syracuse has a metropolitan area population of approximately 750,000. Central New York is a beautiful, friendly and very affordable place to live.
