The Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Division of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology ( at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine (UMMSOM) is experiencing a period of expansion and is seeking exceptional candidates to join the faculty.  

The MFM Division is recruiting for a Division Director, a Director of the Fetal Care Center, and two faculty members at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.  Candidates must be Board Certified/Eligible in MFM or MFM and Genetics.
Primary responsibilities of the Division Director consist of: collaborating with the Chair to execute the strategic planning for the Division and the Department; leading clinical and research initiatives; managing the Division; mentoring junior faculty members; assuming a leadership role in patient safety and quality; working with the Fellowship Director to ensure a superior experience for the fellows; interacting with UMMSOM and Jackson Health System leadership. Primary responsibilities of the Fetal Care Center Director will be to provide visionary leadership, engaging with a multidisciplinary group of physician scientists, clinicians, translational researchers and staff dedicated to providing the best possible care to women with pregnancies complicated by a range of fetal conditions. The successful applicant will possess the expertise to perform invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures associated with fetal medicine and surgery, and be actively engaged in translational research that will advance the field.  

 Primary responsibilities of faculty members to be hired at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor include participation in inpatient and outpatient MFM clinical practice at the UMMSOM and Jackson Health System sites.  A strong commitment to teaching medical students, residents and fellows, and conducting research are prerequisites for joining the Division.   The University of Miami is considered among the top tier institutions of higher education in the U.S. for its academic excellence, superior medical care, and cutting-edge research.
