Additional InformationThe Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of South Florida is seeking an Assistant or Associate Maternal Fetal Medicine faculty to join nine MFMs. The Division’s clinical scope includes coverage of labor and delivery, the antepartum service, obstetrical ultrasound, prenatal diagnosis procedures, and perinatal consultation. We have an active and growing fetal therapy program that includes laser therapy and in-utero surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will be interested in leadership opportunities and participation is an exciting and expanding program. Our clinical activities are complemented by opportunities in clinical program development and participation in statewide quality collaborative initiatives. Most of the members of the division are actively engaged in clinical/translational research or other innovative clinical programs which match their personal interests. We have an MFM Fellowship program which currently has three fellows. The residency program is competitive with 6 residents per year. The MFM Division is actively involved in educating residents and medical students. Our primary affiliate, Tampa General Hospital boasts more than 6,000 deliveries annually and has an 82 bed Level IV NICU. Position Qualifications: Candidates must possess the ability to provide all aspects of inpatient, outpatient and outreach perinatal medicine, and be committed to excellence in medical education. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with experience and qualifications. Minimum: Must possess an M.D. degree from an accredited institution and board-eligible/certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology- Maternal Fetal Medicine. Candidates will have successfully completed a Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must be eligible for a medical license in the State of Florida.
