The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso is seeking a maternal fetal medicine specialist to serve as assistant, associate, or full professor and join two established maternal fetal medicine specialists in the department. 

Founded in 1973, TTUHSC El Paso is the fourth university in the Texas Tech University System and is comprised of three schools: the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine, the Gayle Greve Hunt School of Nursing and the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. TTUHSC El Paso’s physicians, clinics and partnering hospitals provide health care services to Southwest Texas and Southeast New Mexico—a service area of over 2 million people.  The department is represented by all the major subspecialties in obstetrics and gynecology. The ACGME-accredited residency program has five resident slots per year, for a total of 20 residents. The department is supported by a collaborative, respectful and trusting work environment, and a rich mentoring system. In addition, the department has been recognized for its patient-centered focus in which patients are engaged as active partners in all aspects of their care. The department uses an evidence-based, innovative approach to patient care and teaching, while maintaining cultural sensitivity to the community served. Practice Opportunity
  • Assistant, associate or full professor rank
  • Combination of clinical administrative/teaching/research (approx. eight hours a week)
  • Manage antepartum service and provide perinatal consultation
  • Prefer experience in prenatal diagnosis procedures and cerclage placement
