The University of North Carolina’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is recruiting for two tenure track or non-tenure track faculty members (open rank) within the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. The Division’s clinical programs include high-risk obstetric care, perinatal consultation, prenatal diagnosis, ultrasound, genetic services, invasive fetal therapy and perinatal outreach. Division faculty members are active participants in the activities of UNC’s Center for Maternal and Infant Health (www.mombaby.org), which provides multidisciplinary care coordination for families referred for fetal malformations. All faculty actively participate in student and resident teaching and provide subspecialty training for six Maternal Fetal Medicine fellows through its ACGME approved fellowship program. The academically-oriented Division has an outstanding record of epidemiologic research and is one of the participating institutions in the NICHD Maternal-Fetal Medicine Units Network (MFMU). The Department is currently ranked third nationally in NIH funding, with six federally funded investigators within the Maternal Fetal Medicine Division. The Department has an active BIRCWH training program. Biomedical and public health graduate programs offer extensive opportunities for collaboration in basic science and translational research. Opportunities and resources for career development are abundant, whether in clinical leadership/quality and safety, medical education or clinical/translational research. Qualified individuals must have earned an MD degree, completed a 4-year ACGME approved OB-GYN residency and completed a 3-year fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Must be Board Certified/Active Candidate in both OB-GYN and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Candidates must be committed to excellence in medical education.
