The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco, is seeking a Board Certified Maternal-Fetal Medicine Subspecialist to join our Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division as the Perinatal Director of the Fetal Treatment Program. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Fetal Treatment Center Director and the MFM Division Chief on implementation, expansion, strategic growth, and ongoing operation of the perinatal program in the UCSF FTC. Excellent communication skills and ability to function in a consultative role are required.
The position includes clinical care, teaching, and research. Clinical responsibilities include the evaluation, counseling, and management of patients with fetal anomalies who are referred to the UCSF FTC. The candidate must have expertise in obstetrical sonography and sonographically guided procedures such as CVS, amniocentesis, and other invasive procedures. Experience with fetoscopy, intrauterine transfusion, fetal shunt placement, and laser therapy for twin-twin transfusion syndrome is desirable but not required. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the candidate will supervise and teach residents, fellows, and medical students and have the opportunity to perform research.
The candidate must qualify for a full-time faculty position as Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at UCSF.
