Director of Ultrasound and a Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist
Saint Louis University, a Catholic Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service is seeking applicants for a Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist faculty position in the department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women’s Health.  Academic appointment will be based on level of experience and qualifications (all levels will be considered). Candidates must be BC in general obstetrics and gynecology and BE/BC in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.

Saint Louis University (SLU) division of Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) is currently twelve in number and we are actively recruiting for 2 additional faculty members:

1) Director of Ultrasound.  Would oversee Ultrasound services for the faculty practice, fetal evaluation and treatment unit, as well as seven remote Ultrasound sites.  The department also participate in the state ECHO Program. 

2) Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist.  The division provides services for a large geographical area including Southern Illinois, Southern Missouri, St. Louis County and St. Louis City, and  has the first established maternal transport system in the area. We have a wide range of outreach both on site and by a rapidly expanding telemedicine service.  Members of the division also practice at the Fetal Care Institute (FCI) which provides state of the art evaluation & treatment, and genetic services, in conjunction with various subspecialties at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, and has an echo program.

As an academic program, we provide education for 24 residents and 6 MFM fellows. Faculty support a private practice, resident high risk clinics, and subspecialty clinics including genetics, substance abuse and diabetes. Our very progressive practice would be interested in any additional clinics that a new faculty member would bring within their field of expertise. In addition, the Maternal Fetal Medicine division enjoys a large referral service and our specialists are the largest in the state.  Our average faculty appointment is currently at 10 years, which reflects the collegial and cooperative nature of the entire Department.
