The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is recruiting a Division Director of Maternal Fetal Medicine. The Division consists of 13 physicians, 6 fellows and multiple advanced practice providers, genetic counselors and ultrasonographers. The division is focused on providing outstanding patient care, conducting innovative research and excelling in the education of trainees at all levels. The division offers a wide breadth of clinical care, including consultation, prenatal diagnosis, fetal therapy, multidisciplinary prenatal care, inpatient obstetrics in a Level IV perinatal center and postpartum care. The division also has an extensive research portfolio, with 5 NIH-funded principal investigators and more than $5 million in research funds for FY 2020. Faculty members are actively engaged in multi-institutional collaborations and in national and international professional organizations, as well as serving the health and wellbeing of the people of North Carolina.

The UNC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is one of the top programs in the country, with more than 100 faculty in 10 different divisions and more than 50 residents and fellows. This department is known for its innovative clinical care, robust research portfolio (ranked #3 in NIH funding), and outstanding training programs (a #3 Doximity-ranked residency program and 8 fellowships.)   Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Maternal Fetal Medicine are required. Ideal candidates will have previous leadership experience as a Medical Director, Fellowship Director or Division Director and will have a track record of meaningful research, advocacy and/or scholarly activity.  A strong commitment to the School of Medicine’s tripartite mission of clinical care, education and research is required. Candidates should also have a proven record of advancing health equity. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.
