The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Howard University, College of Medicine is seeking an additional full-time academic Maternal-Fetal Medicine faculty at the level of Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor.  The successful candidate will:
  • Have completed a fellowship program in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, board eligible or board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and subspecialty certificate in Maternal-Fetal Medicine
  • Have or be eligible for an unrestricted Medical License in the District of Colombia; 
  • Fully support the clinical, scholarly, and educational missions of the department;
 Howard University and the College of Medicine has had over 150 years of rich history. The Department currently has four board-certified Maternal-Fetal Medicine faculty members.   • NIH-HOWARD Intramural Research Collaboration, which support Early Stage/Junior faculty through mentorship, research collaboration, & equipment use.  Qualified applicants, ultimately, will become seasoned investigators and acquire skills necessary to acquire external grants and increase scholarly productivity.
  • Research Center in Minority Institutions, Howard University-NIH/NIMHD
  • The Georgetown-Howard Universities Center for Clinical and Translational Sciences is founded upon the principles of the NIH Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) Program
  • Potential joined appointment at the NICHD
  •  Bridge Fund/Pilot Study Program is available to support individuals who have demonstrated or show promise of developing an academic research program

Salary and academic rank are commensurate with experience and qualifications that meet the criteria established by the School of Medicine Appointment, Promotion, and Tenure Committee. The District of Columbia Health Professional Loan Repayment (HPLRP) provides up to $150,000 over four years to qualified candidates. Applications will be handled confidentially.
