The University of Chicago: Biological Sciences Division: Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
The University of Chicago's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is searching for a full-time faculty member at any rank. The appointee will contribute to all clinical aspects of the multidisciplinary Maternal Fetal Medicine program, including the evaluation and management of high risk pregnancy patients, inpatient and outpatient care of these patients, and a productive clinical portfolio. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.
We are a strong academic section with a high outpatient obstetrical volume, consultation service and a large ultrasound unit with a fetal center, serving a diverse population, and a tertiary referral center for surrounding hospitals through our perinatal network. Other features of our program include strong preeclampsia research, a placenta center, obstetrical quality, an OB anesthesia program, as well as our state of art Labor and Delivery unit. Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) have completed an accredited fellowship in MFM or have equivalent experience, and 4) be Board certified or eligible in MFM.
