Cooper Maternal-Fetal Medicine is seeking a full-time Board Certified or Board Eligible MFM to join our cohesive 6-member academic faculty division at Cooper University Health Care, South Jersey’s premier academic health system.  Cooper University Hospital, with 630 licensed beds, is located in Camden, New Jersey, approximately 10 minutes from Philadelphia and surrounding suburbs.  MFM outpatient offices are located throughout the region.  Shared responsibilities include outpatient consultative ultrasound offices (8 sites), inpatient service coverage of our 9-bedded antepartum unit, coverage of high-risk OB clinic, and resident/student education. 

Cooper University Hospital is a regional perinatal center that is the major referral center for Southern New Jersey.  Cooper University Hospital receives 200-300 maternal transports per year and performs 2200 deliveries each year.  We have a 25 bed Level III NICU and 7 Neonatologists. 

Cooper has a growing regional reputation.  Earlier this year, Cooper received recognition by Newsweek as one of the Best Maternity Hospitals based on the Leapfrog Hospital Survey.

Cooper is a member of the Perinatal Research Consortium (PRC), with many opportunities for clinical research. 

As academic practitioners, all Cooper MFM physicians have faculty appointments at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, with opportunities for student involvement and educational advancement.

We have a freestanding residency program (4 residents per year), with fellowships in Gynecologic Oncology and Urogynecology.

The average MFM physician has been at Cooper University Hospital for 20 years, with engagement scores remaining at the 95th percentile and higher.  We are looking for someone with a commitment to clinical care and education. The qualified candidate should be able to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment.  A desire to provide resident and student mentorship is a plus.
