Reporting to the Executive Director, the Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) program at Atlantic Health with an emphasis on managing staff, responding to physician, patient and staff concerns, and budget management. The position focuses on customer service and continuous improvement of operations. The Manager must demonstrate, through leadership example, visible organizational support and a positive attitude to create a positive work environment. Essential Functions:
  • Create action plans to ensure budget variances are appropriately identified and corrected
  • Assures adherence to organizational guidelines, policies and procedures
  • Prioritize and organize work to meet changing priorities
  • Communicates decisions to appropriate leadership
  •   Promotes high employee engagement and safety culture within the center
  • Facilitate communication among physicians, staff and administration establishing a climate that encourages teamwork and promotes collegial collaboration among all team members including regular staff meetings/physician meetings with Administrative Services Supervisor to discuss
  • Makes appropriate decisions, using available resources, to achieve positive outcomes for patients, visitors, and staff in balance with sound business practice
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of all automated systems which support daily operations and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with all appropriate regulatory agencies including Joint Commission, corporate compliance, system protocols and office procedures and communicating policy changes to appropriate staff
  • Minimum three years physician practice management experience or inpatient hospital management (MFM management preferred) with oversight for multiple locations
  • Proven leadership and change management skills required
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission requirements
  • Ability to analyze satisfaction, financial and operational data and develop plans for improvement
  • Knowledge of laws and medical terminology relating to the management and operations of physician practices
  • Understanding of financial incentives and requirements of physician practices
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational and customer service skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Travel between sites will be required
