Chief of Obstetrics
The Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) and Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a Chief of Obstetrics. As senior leader, the Chief of Obstetrics will collaborate in the development and execution of the strategic plan for the Department and Obstetrical programs at Brigham Health, thereby ensuring the balanced advancement and equity of clinical, teaching, quality, and research missions.
The Chief of Obstetrics will provide clinical leadership, administrative and educational services (“Director Services”) to BWH. Working with hospital leadership and key stakeholders, the Chief of Obstetrics is responsible for the continuous development of the BWH relationship with affiliated community health centers to advance health equity in obstetrics, and must actively promote and integrate Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts across the Obstetrics service and care areas, with a commitment to health equity for all patients. A commitment to interdisciplinary team care of patients is required.
The Chief of Obstetrics must be a board certified obstetrician-gynecologist with substantial experience in the leadership of obstetrical programs. A commitment to teaching fellows, residents and medical students, and building a diverse team is essential. Academic rank of Associate Professor or Professor at Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training and achievements.
