Additional InformationThe Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) is seeking a clinical faculty member to join the Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Division. Candidates with particular focus of interest in human genetics and genomics are encouraged to apply. Currently the MFM Division consists of four highly experienced, MFM faculty. The Division has a long-standing ABOG-approved MFM Fellowship; presently there are three MFM fellows. Rank and track will be commensurate with experience.
Duties: Applicant must demonstrate experience and excellence in clinical responsibilities. Duties will include on and off-site MFM clinics, resident and fellow MFM clinics, ultrasound, ambulatory procedures, antepartum, surgery, providing M&M expertise to the hospitals included in the UIC’s perinatal network, antepartum and out-of-hospital MFM consultative services. Evidence of prior and ongoing scholarly activity is required. Clinical genetics expertise advantageous. Educational duties will include teaching and supervising medical students, residents, and fellows. Strong interest in MFM research is desired; transferable external funding will be given special consideration.
Qualifications: Candidates must have MD degree or equivalent, be eligible for unrestricted medical license in Illinois, be Board-certified (BC) in Obstetrics & Gynecology and BC/Board eligible in MFM, or equivalent.
