Additional Information

Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, one of the finest schools in the country, is seeking a vibrant and highly-motivated team member for the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  The OB/GYN department at Washington University is nationally recognized with extensive clinical and basic science research opportunities.  Approximately 4,000 deliveries were performed last year at Barnes Jewish Hospital, the main teach facility at Washington University.  We have a state of the art prenatal diagnosis facility that performs over 16,000 ultrasounds a year and is staffed by 14 sonographers.  We also host a database that includes over 100,000 ultrasounds, providing abundant opportunities for clinical research.  Pediatric and neonatal care is provided by the Saint Louis Children's Hospital, one of the top children's hospitals in the country.  The inpatient obstetric service is staffed by the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division, which includes 3 laborists and 11 MFM attendings to which we are looking to add another laborist.  We also have 7 MFM fellows and 36 OB/GYN residents, who work with us closely in delivering comprehensive and team-base care.  We see patients in our outpatient offices, The Women's Health Center, on the medical campus and The Center for Women's Wellness, at our other partner hospital, Missouri Baptist Medical Center. The candidate must have formal training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine and possess excellent clinical and teaching skills.  Board certification in or eligibility in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Clinical responsibilities of this position include consultative or comprehensive prenatal care for pregnancies complicated by maternal or fetal disease, specialized diagnostic ultrasonography and supervision of a high acuity labor and delivery unit.  Services provided include genetic amniocentesis, CVS, cordocentesis, and non-invasive aneuploidy screening, all while working closely with our neonatologists in our Level IV NICU. Responsibilities also include active participation in Fellow and Resident education.

This is a full-time position with excellent benefits. Rank, tenure status and compensation are commensurate with selected candidate’s experience. Interested applicants should respond by email. Please submit a cover letter and CV to Anthony Odibo, MD at odiboa@wustl.edu.
