Additional Information

UMass Memorial Medical Center, the clinical partner of the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School, seeks a BC/BE MFM specialist to join our academic division of 8 physicians, 3 NPs and 3 MFM fellows. The division is very stable with a good mix of junior and senior faculty.  It is well-established as the MFM referral center for Central Massachusetts with approximately 4,200 deliveries and a busy ultrasound service.

The ideal candidate should have experience and enthusiasm for OB ultrasound, prenatal diagnosis and high-risk pregnancy care. Our faculty have a strong interest in teaching MFM fellows, residents, and medical students. We also pride ourselves in leading and participating in translational and clinical research. Diversity, equity and inclusion are integral to the commitment of our Department. Accordingly, we seek qualified candidates who can contribute to racial equity, diversity and inclusion through service, mentorship, teaching and scholarship. Further, the Department is keenly interested in diversifying its faculty. Candidates from backgrounds underrepresented in medicine are encouraged to apply. Early career physicians are welcomed with a Departmental and University commitment to ongoing mentorship.

Located in Central Massachusetts, Worcester is the second largest city in Massachusetts and in New England.  Worcester and the surrounding area have a strong and diverse economic base with family-oriented communities offering excellent school systems.  The cultural offerings are abundant.  Boston is only forty miles away, and lakes, beaches and mountains are all easily accessible.  An academic appointment and salary will be commensurate with training, experience and achievements.

Please send a letter of interest, CV and one-page Diversity Statement to the contact below. Diversity statement should describe how your background and/or experiences demonstrate your commitment and ability to engage with issues of diversity, equity and inclusion, as well as plans for future contributions to DEI in the areas of research, teaching and/or outreach.
