The OBGYN Department’s Division of Patient Safety at NYU Langone Health’s Manhattan Campus is seeking a full time Obstetrical Patient Safety Officer physician to join our team. We provide care for high-volume, high acuity service with approximately 5700 deliveries per year. There is a strong focus on education of our medical students and residents, and our team works closely with our trainees. The position involves oversight of obstetrical care provided on our labor and delivery and mother-baby units, ensuring compliance with evidence-based practices and clinical guidelines. Work responsibilities include a maximum of 13 sessions per month, and each session is 12 hours in duration. Our team values collaboration, enthusiasm, integrity, transparency, and communication. We are dedicated to research and education and are eager to add a new team member to our Division. We work closely with various members of the Obstetrical Team comprised of Attendings, Nurses, Trainees and Allied Health Professionals. There are opportunities for involvement in quality improvement projects, clinical research, mentorship of trainees and leadership opportunities. We are seeking an individual who can effectively communicate, is passionate about patient safety and quality, and who enjoys working in a high volume, high acuity, multi-disciplinary clinical setting.
Qualifications Candidates must be Board certified by ABOG in Obstetrics and Gynecology with minimum 5 years clinical experience and demonstrate a strong commitment to safe, high quality, state of the art patient care as well as trainee education. Applicants should have successfully completed a U.S. Accredited OB/GYN Residency training program and have a New York State Medical license. A competitive salary and benefits package provided.
