The UAB Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking full-time Assistant and Associate Professors in the Maternal-Fetal Medicine division. M.D. or D.O. degree and completion of accredited OB/GYN residency, a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine and eligibility for Alabama licensure are required. The principal responsibility will be to help further develop and grow our university-based MFM referral service. Duties will include ultrasound, procedures, consultations, and high-risk delivery services, including complicated surgical cases. Other responsibilities will include graduate and undergraduate teaching and participation in departmental continuing medical education efforts. Salary, academic rank, and tenure status are commensurate with candidate's background and experience.

Our MFM faculty at UAB consists of 14 nationally recognized physicians, board-certified in MFM and OB/GYN, with one faculty also board-certified in Medical Genetics. We have accredited fellowships in both MFM and MFM-Genetics. The department also houses the Center for Women's Reproductive Health, which facilitates women's health research across the department, institution and around the globe. The University of Alabama at Birmingham has transformed Birmingham into a nexus of medicine, business, research and development with a thriving arts and cultural scene.
