The practice provides the full spectrum of MFM services to our flagship hospital, Swedish Medical Center-First Hill, and consultative services to our affiliated locations in Everett and Issaquah - two beautiful suburbs within 30 miles of downtown Seattle.   Swedish Medical Center delivers 7,500 infants a year and is equipped with a 70 + bed level III NICU, PICU, and spectrum of pediatric subspecialists.   A full-time position is available providing the gamut of MFM care. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with outpatient and inpatient care. Outpatient consultative services are provided to a diverse community. An applicant must have great interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity as well as experience with prenatal diagnosis, ultrasound, and genetics. Experience with fetal echocardiography and/or CVS is not required but welcomed. Full OB-care is provided for high-risk patients in conjunction with MFM nurse practitioners. Our inpatient experience consists of an active antepartum and MFM delivery service accepting transports from the Pacific Northwest and southern Alaska. Teaching and mentoring Ob-Gyn residents from the University of Washington and the new Swedish Ob-Gyn residency as well as family medicine OB fellows will be an integral part of the service.  Additional inpatient support includes MFM ARNP postpartum rounding, 24-hour OB hospitalist assistance and overlapping OB-nocturnist coverage 7 nights a week. Research is encouraged and supported with Pediatrix sponsored trials and local organizations.   Over three million Pacific Northwesterners call the greater Seattle area home. The continental United States' northwestern most point, Seattle sits on the Pacific Rim with sweeping panorama views of Puget Sound, the Olympic mountains, and majestic Mount Rainier. Home to the University of Washington, Seattle is one of the nation's most educated cities drawing professionals from across the country. Seattle offers its residents a high quality of life, with opportunities to bike, golf, sail, ski, kayak, camp, hike, as well as urban pleasures like world-class restaurants, stylish shopping, luxurious hotels, and vibrant nightlife.
