The Dartmouth-Hitchcock Lebanon Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is searching for a new Section Chief of Maternal Fetal Medicine to join our practice set here in the beautiful Upper Valley of New Hampshire. This is an exciting opportunity for Maternal Fetal Medicine physician with leadership experience in the areas of ambulatory medicine practice management, teaching, research and faculty member mentorship. The new Section Chief will mentor faculty and trainees as they develop areas of personal academic and scholarly interest, and will foster a culture of scholarship and innovation within the Section.

It is expected that applicants will be able to provide dynamic leadership for our engaged providers and support staff as they continue to optimize the quality and efficiency of their team-based outpatient services and for our inpatient consultative service.  This individual should be eligible for academic appointment at the level of Associate or full Professor of Medicine at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. Our faculty is eager to recruit and retain talented physicians who will help us in creating a more dynamic, inclusive and innovative team here at DHMC. Our Division is currently made up of five board certified MFM physicians, working closely with our Generalist Division, Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, Gynecologic Oncology, the Midwifery team as well as six clinic based APRN’s. We average around 1,300 deliveries a year, covering sites including Manchester-Bedford, Nashua and Concord NH. The Division Director will work closely other key members of the department that include a Practice Manager, Nurse Manager, and Administrative Director to manage clinical operations.  In this role, the Section Chief will provide care to high risk obstetrical patients in the outpatient, inpatient and labor and delivery settings. We are a large tertiary-care hospital and academic medical center, with responsibility for teaching residents, medical students and engaging in research.

All clinical sites have American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine certification. Board-certified and licensed genetic counselors are integral members of the division. This division provides consultative services to physicians in New Hampshire and Vermont and inpatient care at DHMC in Lebanon, NH.
