Podcast Series: MFMs and AIM - Partners in Improving Maternal Health

Maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) subspecialists are leading efforts in states across the country to improve obstetric care and reduce inequities in maternal health outcomes. A tool in this work is implementing care bundles, which offer a standardized approach for delivering well-established, evidence-based practices for every patient, every time.

The Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health (AIM) is a national maternal safety and quality improvement initiative that supports state and community-based teams to implement AIM’s core patient safety bundles and then assess the resulting reduction in preventable maternal mortality and morbidity.

In this podcast series, MFMs involved in AIM introduce the program and its goals, share their experiences implementing AIM bundles, and highlight opportunities for MFMs to become leaders in the program. The series is hosted by patient advocate Bekah Bischoff, who infuses her experience and perspective throughout the episodes.
