The Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship program at the University of Michigan is designed to provide fellows with broad clinical experience as well as opportunities for clinical and basic science investigation, and preparation for a career in perinatal medicine. Fellows pursue either a perinatal epidemiology training pathway or a clinical scientist training pathway, depending on which pathway is available at the time the position begins. The choice of research pursuit is generally that of the individual fellow. The fellowship allows 50% of time for the pursuit of a research project and other academic goals. It is mandatory that a research project and manuscript be completed for satisfactory fulfillment of the requirements for this fellowship.
