Additional Information
The MFM Fellowship Program
at the UW Madison School of Medicine and Public Health is an ACGME and ABOG-approved, three-year fellowship training program
designed to provide trainees with strong clinical skills in all areas of MFM, substantive
research experience and preparation for an academic career.
Our clinical facilities are
within Unity Point Health-Meriter Hospital, with the highest volume of
deliveries in the state. Fellows rotate through our outpatient prenatal
diagnostic center, inpatient clinical care, and outpatient consultative
experience. Throughout the fellowship, each fellow sees patients in their own
weekly half-day continuity clinic. Fellows also rotate through labor and
delivery and the intensive care unit. In addition, fellows are encouraged to
participate in a moonlighting opportunity on labor and delivery throughout the
fellowship.
Fellows will spend a minimum
of 12 months on research and have the opportunity to conduct a translational,
clinical, or basic science project based on individual strengths and interests.
They will further their analytical and scientific research skills by working closely
alongside a faculty or scientist mentor. Each fellow will produce a final
thesis for publication and board certification.
