The Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine gathers each winter for The Pregnancy Meeting to share the latest innovations in research and clinical care. Through educational seminars and research presentations, we bring together MFMs in training, practicing clinicians and veterans in the field. We invite you to join us to share your clinical wisdom, your original research, and your passion for improving outcomes for mothers and babies.

Late-Breaking Research Category for 2017:
This year we are going to continue the “Late-Breaking” Research Category. Original research that was not completed until after the abstract deadline of August 5, 2016 may be eligible for submission as a Late-Breaking Abstract at The Pregnancy Meeting ™ The Late-Breaking Abstract option will become available on October 14, 2016 and will remain open until the deadline of: November 14, 2016.
Abstracts can only be submitted under the “Late-Breaking” category if they meet the following criteria:

• The research must be new and of sufficient scientific importance to merit special consideration after the standard abstract deadline. Abstracts should describe either large clinical studies or high-impact translational research that could not be completed prior to the original deadline.
• Clinical studies must be prospective in design.
• Late-breaking abstracts cannot be a revision of an abstract submitted prior to the submission deadline.
• No more than two abstracts will be accepted in the late-breaking category. Late-breaking abstracts will be presented in a special session on Friday morning just after the Plenary Session II (Fellows).

Exhibitor Staff/Attendee Registration, Mailing List and Additional Information

Attendees and exhibitors may be subjected to inappropriate solicitation from hotels or third-party housing agencies not affiliated with SMFM or Caesars Palace. SMFM does not use a third party housing company for attendees or exhibitors. Poachers may sometimes offer a lower hotel rate than the rates offered in our official block. We have found that the reserved rooms are often not actually available at the hotel. The deposit you are being asked to give is being taken from the wholesaler, NOT the hotel. Their cancellation polices are often intolerant, and these companies do not have the support of SMFM or Caesars Palace.  Please use the SMFM group URL to make your room reservations or call Caesars Palace directly.

Notice to Ob-Gyn Residents who wish to attend the SMFM 37th Annual Pregnancy Meeting™
The Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine is aware of the potential Pregnancy Meeting timing conflict with the 2017 Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology (CREOG) exam. The exam is a national sub-specialty test given to all ob-gyn residents annually. SMFM values the attendance of all ob-gyn residents at the Pregnancy Meeting and is working with CREOG and ob-gyn residency program directors to mitigate the impact of any timing conflicts. If you would like to take the exam while at the meeting, please contact dvalantsevich@acog.org for further information before November 25.

Poster Presentations Expanded in 2017!
New in 2017 is the expansion of the poster presentations from 750 to 875 over the course of five poster sessions. You also will have the opportunity to attend the oral sessions of the top 115 abstracts chosen to be oral presentations.
