Prenatal Genetics for the MFM Physician in 2022 and Beyond
Feb. 2, 2022 8am - 2pm
Course Directors:
Lorraine Dugoff, MD
Teresa Sparks, MD
Course Faculty:
Patrick Devine,
Mary Norton, MD
Brian Shaffer, MD
Neeta Vora, MD
Course Description:
This course will cover basic and advanced genetic screening and diagnostic testing approaches. Cell-free DNA screening for fetal aneuploidy and carrier screening for single gene disorders will be reviewed as well as prenatal diagnostic tests including karyotyping, chromosomal microarray, FISH, gene panels and genomic sequencing. Cases will be presented to illustrate appropriate genetic test selection and the importance of prenatal phenotyping in the interpretation of sequencing results.
Learning Objectives:
TBD
Course Schedule (All times Eastern Standard Time):
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint providership of Global Learning Collaborative (GLC) and SMFM. GLC is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Global Learning Collaborative designates this enduring material for a maximum of 4.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
