The Foundation for SMFMThe Foundation for SMFM (formerly the Pregnancy Foundation) was created to support the development of research and educational opportunities in maternal-fetal medicine. The Foundation receives support from SMFM Members, Corporate Council members, patients, and the public in order to support fundamental research in maternal-fetal medicine, develop cutting edge clinical skills of MFM specialists, provide a mentoring program to future leaders in MFM, and fund opportunities for global health fellowships among SMFM members.
Perinatal Quality FoundationThe Perinatal Quality Foundation seeks to improve the quality of Maternal-Fetal medicine medical services by providing state of the art educational programs, and evidence-based, statistically valid monitoring systems to evaluate current practices and facilitate the transition of emerging technologies into clinical care. The foundation is committed to disseminating safe and excellent obstetrical practice protocols, and to providing clinician and provider education, monitoring measures, and consensus discussions on emerging obstetrical technologies.
