Associate membership Associate membership is available to physicians who are currently enrolled in (physicians currently enrolled in a Board Certified MFM Program should apply for Associate Fellow membership), or have completed, a MFM or MFM-Genetics fellowship approved by the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division of ABOG or AOBOG but are not yet board certified in MFM.
Associate membership is also available to obstetricians-gynecologists who are enrolled in U.S. certified specialty training programs in areas related to maternal-fetal medicine such as Infectious Disease, Reproductive Infectious Disease and Critical Care medicine.
Associate Membership is available to International
physicians who are currently enrolled in a sub-specialty fellowship training
program or equivalent in their country of origin as well as individuals who have
completed training for general specialty certification in Obstetrics and
Gynecology in their country of origin AND who have also completed training in a sub-specialty training program an area related to MFM, such as Genetics, Infectious Disease, Fetal Medicine
and Critical Care Medicine .
To apply for Associate membership, applicants must submit the following:
- Documentation of successful completion of training general specialty certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology in an ABOG or AOBOG approved program or international equivalent
- Documentation of enrollment in and/or certification in a U.S. certified, or international equivalent, post-residency or sub-specialty program in areas related to maternal-fetal medicine such as Genetics, Infectious Disease and Critical Care
- The applicant’s current curriculum vitae
- Dues Payment of $450
