Professional Bio

Dr. Rolanda Lister is a board-certified Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist and the Chair of the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee for the OBGYN Department at Vanderbilt. She is passionate about maternal health equity using a community-centric approach. She also holds a leadership role as the Officer for Health Equity for Tennessee Initiative for Perinatal Quality Care-A statewide quality improvement collaborative. Dr. Lister finds it a privilege to care for high-risk pregnant patients in Nashville, TN. She is the founder and CEO of a non-profit: Building Life Opportunities and Options for Mothers (BLOOM). The mission of BLOOM is to provide supportive housing for pregnant and post-partum mothers with housing insecurity with the goal of providing a pathway to homeownership. She is a self-taught farmer/florist and floriculture is complimentary to BLOOM's mission. Dr. Lister lifelong goal is to improve the health and wellness of mothers and their offspring via a holistic approach including improving the built environment.
