SMFM Advocacy for Reproductive and Perinatal Health
The Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine (SMFM) advocates at both the federal and state levels to advance optimal and equitable perinatal and reproductive health. Explore our advocacy hub, policy updates, and opportunities to get involved in this important work.
SMFM Advocacy Hub
The SMFM Advocacy Hub provides members with the latest advocacy activities and updates, policies and position statements, and tools to contact policymakers. Members can also track state policies and request advocacy support for public health initiatives in their communities.
State Liaison Network
The State Liaison Network is SMFM’s member-driven initiative focused on advocacy and implementation of public health programs. SLN members are seasoned advocates and clinical champions. SMFM supports their efforts to advance policies and implement public health initiatives nationally, regionally, and locally by providing technical assistance, including reviewing legislation, drafting testimony, supporting media relations, providing opportunities for networking and collaboration, and so much more.
These resource compilations are reviewed annually and should not be considered inclusive of all possible relevant resources. Inclusion does not indicate SMFM endorsement unless specifically noted. Questions? Contact the Reproductive Health Team with any questions or suggested additions.
