Hypertensive Disorders of Pregnancy: Closing the Quality Gaps

The purpose of this webinar is to equip clinicians and healthcare teams with the knowledge and tools needed to identify and address quality gaps in the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDP), using established performance metrics and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) framework as a foundation for meaningful, practice-level quality improvement.

At the conclusion of this webinar, participants should be able to:

1. Identify the quality gaps in the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDP) in their practice or institution;
2. Evaluate established performance metrics and checklists for quality improvement in HDP;
3. Delineate the key steps of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) framework for improvement; and
4. Apply the IHI steps to a proposed quality improvement project that addresses a gap in the diagnosis, treatment, or follow-up of HDP.
