What to Expect at the 2026 Pregnancy Meeting

Posted By: Allison S Bryant Blog,

As we prepare for the 2026 Pregnancy Meeting™, I’m thrilled to share a preview of what promises to be one of our mostdynamic and inspiring gatherings yet. This year, we received a record-breaking 2,300+ abstract submissions, the highest in SMFM history! On behalf of the Program Committee, thank you to everyone who contributed your science, innovation, and time. Your work continues to advance our shared mission of improving patient outcomes.

If you have finished research that was not completed before the August 4 General Call for Abstracts deadline, there is still time to participate. Late-breaking abstract submissions are now being accepted through Monday, November 10. This is your opportunity to present your high-impact research before an audience of more than 3,000 clinicians and researchers and have your work published in the PREGNANCY supplement. Submit your late-breaking abstract.

The Program Committee is also inviting members to volunteer as abstract judges. No prior experience in scientific evaluation is required—we’re looking for clinicians, researchers, and professionals who can thoughtfully assess research from a variety of perspectives. The deadline to apply is Monday, November 3. Your participation helps ensure a rigorous and fair review process that reflects the depth and diversity of our field.

We are also excited to continue delivering an outstanding selection of learning opportunities designed to translate directly into your practice and career. The multidisciplinary nature of the Pregnancy Meeting brings together experts, researchers, and healthcare professionals in obstetric care to explore the latest advances, exchange ideas, and build meaningful connections.

Attendees can choose from 18 Postgraduate Courses, covering essential topics such as maternal health disparities, cardio-obstetrics, diabetes, substance use, imaging, and more. Earn CME or AIUM ultrasound credit while engaging in interactive panels, case-based learning, and hands-on demonstrations. Space is limited, so register early to secure your seat.

Beyond the scientific sessions, we’re offering a robust lineup of ancillary and special events, including:

  • President’s Workshop on Innovative Care Delivery (Invite Only
  • CDC/SMFM 2026 Maternal Mortality Prevention Meeting
  • Resident Forum
  • Medical and Division Directors Roundtable
  • Interest Groups:

  • And much more!

The SMFM Career Fair, powered by Jobs Connected, is also returning—connecting talented professionals with leading institutions.

Lastly, room blocks are filling quickly. Reserve your stay now at the SMFM group rates—$229/night at Harrah’s Las Vegas or $269/night at Caesars Palace—available until January 9, 2026. Both hotels offer comfort and convenience, with Harrah’s providing a direct, casino-free pedestrian bridge to the Caesars Forum.
