What to Expect at the 2026 Pregnancy Meeting: Oral Abstracts and the Exhibit Hall
In just a few weeks, SMFM will welcome experts, researchers, students, and healthcare professionals in obstetrics

to the 2026 Pregnancy Meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada.
I am proud to share that we have an impressive research lineup! As Dr. Allison Bryant shared in the fall, we received a record-breaking 2,300+ abstract submissions, the highest in SMFM history. Of these, 101 will be presented as oral presentations, including 4 late-breaking abstract presentations, and 1,200 will be featured as posters.
The abstract selection process would not have been possible without our dedicated team of abstract reviewers. Each submission underwent a rigorous review process to ensure the best science is presented. Abstracts were reviewed in a blinded process by at least four individuals, who evaluated them using stringent criteria and provided overall scores. A subset of abstracts underwent an additional senior review by another blinded group of four reviewers. Blinding at all stages, including for the program committee, was key to ensuring equity and inclusion. This thorough process allows us to present high-quality science and engaging presentations at this year’s meeting.
Abstracts will be available digitally in SMFM’s new open-access journal, Pregnancy. A limited number of physical copies of the supplement will be available for purchase by pre-ordering online during the registration process. If you have registered and have not secured your copy, be sure to revisit your registration email, click on the link, and purchase your copy.
For those joining us in Las Vegas, we look forward to welcoming to the oral plenary sessions and concurrent sessions Wednesday, February 11 – Friday, February 13. These sessions will also be recorded and available for purchase.
